Sketching

I started the project by throwing lines on a paper in a pursuit of a potential logo, while thinking what the overall idea of the design would be.

I decided to use a perspective view of the Arabiankatu 135 building as the foundation of the design. The street side of the building has pretty much remained in its original state, but the expansions are far more modern architecture.

Vectoring

After sketching, it was time to convert results to something concrete. As a professional with Illustrator and vectror-graphics, I made short work in converting my vague ideas into print-ready material.

Presenting the print design.

The contest also required a presentation of the design printed on the hoodies.

"135D

The logos are a combination of a technological consistency, presented with the gray straight lines and a rough creativity, presented with the colorful orange lines.

The smaller logo is made of quick sketch-like lines and a more precise gray lines.
The bigger logo is drawn from a perspective view of the Arabiankatu 135 building.

The idea behind two different kinds of lines and colors are to represent traditional and new in the same construct, constantly advancing."
